I captured this photograph on a beautiful day toward the end of May in Tallulah Gorge State Park, Georgia. Standing at the bottom of the canyon, surrounded by towering rock walls and the steady rhythm of the river, I felt calm and grounded—a quiet moment framed by stone, water, and soft light. The tall cliffs and weathered rock faces rose sharply around me, while the filtered morning light highlighted the reds, golds, and greens of the trees along the riverbank. Every time I revisit this image, I can still feel that peaceful pause deep within the gorge.
