There’s a different kind of quiet at the bottom of a place like Tallulah Gorge—where the world above feels distant, and every step down brings you deeper into something older and more still.
This moment was earned. We had made the long descent—hundreds of steps down into the gorge—stopping just short of the final stretch. While I paused to rest, James continued on, making his way to the gorge floor below. Before turning back to begin the climb up, he captured this scene—one last quiet moment at the bottom.
 
You can feel that depth in the image—the sense of being surrounded, tucked into the landscape and far removed from everything above.
